CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The federal government is dispensing more than $2 million to groups across West Virginia to run a program aimed at providing education and job training for "at risk" people between the ages of 16 and 24.
The state's two U.S. senators say the grants are designed to help run the YouthBuild program in four counties.
The Huntington Housing Authority is set to receive about $437,000, while nearly $500,000 will go to the Human Resource Development Foundation in Morgantown. The grants also include about $603,000 for the Randolph County Housing Authority and more than $716,000 for the Southern Appalachian Labor School in Fayette County.
