MIDKIFF, W.Va. -- Two people were killed after driving into a house in Lincoln County early Saturday morning.

The driver of the car and passenger, Jeremy Ryan Rakes, 22, of Ranger, and Dawna M. Mascol, 32, of Branchland died at the scene.

No one in the home was injured, a Hamlin state trooper said.

The accident happened around 3 a.m. in Medkiff on W.Va. 10. Alcohol and speed appear to be a factor in the accident, the trooper said.
