New Destiny Cathedral Tabernacle of Praise: 302 Delaware Ave., will have an Apostolic Impartation Weekend Friday through June 7 at the church. Special guest speaker will be Michael Woods of Jackson, Miss. Special music ministry will be featured at 7 p.m. Friday and June 6. Services will be held at noon and 6 p.m. on June 7. New Destiny Cathedral Tabernacle of Praise will also have an all-you-can-eat soul food prayer breakfast in the church-dining hall at 9 a.m. on June 6. Tickets are $5. The Kanawha Creation Science Group: will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the South Charleston Public Library, 312 Fourth Ave., South Charleston, to uplift Jesus Christ as the Creator. A hot dog and rummage sale: will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today at Hissom Tabernacle, corner of Spring Street and 1305 Pennsylvania Ave., across from Bigley Avenue Foodland. All proceeds will benefit the H.I.M. Youth Church Camp. If you would like to sponsor a child, call 304-343-7046.

Fairlawn Baptist Church: 20th Street and Fletcher Avenue, Dunbar, will sponsor a large indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 6 in the Fairlawn Family Life Center, formerly Mound Elementary. Breakfast, hot dogs and homemade desserts also will be available.

New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene: 288 South Pinch Road, Pinch, will have a yard sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a Fun Saturday for Kids event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 6 at the church. Hot dogs, nachos and baked goods will be for sale.

Parsons Chapel Advent Church: will have a hot dog sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 6 in the church activity building, 1449 Sixth Ave. Proceeds will go to maintenance on the church.

Festival of Fun 2009: "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands," community event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. June 7 at Dunbar Church of the Nazarene, 16th Street and Lightner Avenue, Dunbar. Food, games, prizes, music, 3-in-1 inflatable and more will be featured.

The Men's Day Committee: of St. Paul AME Church, 1108 Second Ave., will sponsor a car wash and food sale beginning 10 a.m. today on the church parking lot. Hot dogs, hot bologna, fish, drinks and desserts will be available. In case of rain, the food sale will still be held.

The Youth and Men's Ministries of Abundant Life: 1534 Washington St. E., will have a car wash and hot dog sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 6 on the church parking lot.

Heritage Christian Academy of Ravenswood: will hold an informational meeting about upcoming changes to their school format at 7 p.m. Thursday at Second Baptist Church in Ravenswood. Dr. S. Richard Parsons Jr. pastor of Second Baptist Church and HCA School Administrator announced the changes would involve grades 7-12. They will be using computer-based classes for three to four subjects; the remaining classes will be traditional classroom teaching. Heritage Christian Academy is also opening its doors for this computer-based education to home-schooled children in Jackson County and surrounding areas. Students would be allowed to participate in the school's sports programs and HCA's activities and functions, as well as be a graduate of HCA. Heritage Christian Academy is a ministry of Second Baptist Church, located at the corner of Ann and Elwood Streets in Ravenswood. Music:

An outdoor gospel sing: featuring Laurel Creek, Bloodline and The Believers Quartet, will be held at 4 p.m. today at Kelly's Creek Community Church, Kelly's Creek Road, Sissonville. Hot dogs with all the fixings will be served. There is no charge, however, contributions are appreciated. The sing will be held inside if the weather requires.

Courtney Perry and 96.1 Sunday Gospel Sunrise host Randy Gifford: will have a song, praise and worship service at 7 p.m. Sunday at Pocatalico Community Church.

A celebration of music: will be held at 7 p.m. today at Malden Baptist Church. The Praisemen will sing.

The annual Outdoor Gospel Sing: will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Maranatha Baptist Church, located just off the Tuppers Creek Exit of Interstate 77, eight miles north of Charleston. Singers include the McClosky Family, Charlton Jordan, the Edens Family, The Maranatha Men's Quartet, Greg Edens, and Him Edens. Bring a lawn chair. Concessions are available and a love offering will be accepted.

Nicholas Naylor: will sing at 7 p.m. Sunday at Diamond Baptist Church, Belle.

The Laborers Quartet: will be singing at 7 p.m. today at First United Baptist Church in Nitro. They will also sing at 6 p.m. Sunday at New Beginnings Church of The Nazarene on Pinch Road, W.Va. 114, across from Pinch Elementary School in Pinch. Bloodline: will be singing at 4 p.m. today at Kelly's Creek Community Church in Sissonville.

The Bowlings: will sing at 7 p.m. Sunday at Red Oak Christian Community Church, Red Oak Drive, Nitro. Speaker will be Vincent Quinn.

BrighterSide Quartet: will sing at 7 p.m. today at Lizemores Methodist Church, Lizemores. They will also sing at 6 p.m. Sunday at Spencer Tabernacle, Spencer.

Dean Browder: will present the gospel in song at 7 p.m. June 20 at Jodie Church of God. He will also sing at 11 a.m. June 21 at Bentree Church of God; and 6 p.m. June 21 at Alta Church of God.

Kevin Mills: will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m. June 6 at Boulevard Seventh Day Adventist Church, 622 Kanawha Blvd. A free will offering will be taken.
