Man gets probation for funeral home theft

GRAFTON, W.Va. -- A Grafton man has been sentenced to three years' probation for stealing more than $54,000 from a funeral home.
Jeffery May, 44, paid full restitution Wednesday. Taylor Circuit Judge Alan D. Moats also ordered him to serve eight hours per week of community service.
May pleaded guilty to one count of embezzlement. Charges of falsifying accounts and fraudulent schemes were dismissed.
May was a manager at the Bartlett Funeral Home in Grafton from November 2006 to February 2009.Advertisement - Your ad here
