BATTLE OF LEWISBURG: Living History and Re-enactment, historic downtown Lewisburg. Events are free. Commemorating the 200th Anniversary of Lincoln's birth. Re-enactors will portray Abraham Lincoln, Gen. U.S. Grant, Gen. Robert E. Lee and his lieutenants and more. Experience Union and Confederate camps, visit hospital tents with authentic instruments and demonstrations of care of the wounded. Civil War music, Civil War history and re-enactment of the 1862 Battle of Lewisburg will be featured. KANAWHA TRAIL CLUB HIKE: Noon, Carpool from Ohio and Randolph streets. Kanawha State Forest, Polly Trail to Hemlock Falls. Regroup at Grist Mill parking lot. The hike is 4.5 to 5 miles -- Lakeview/Triple Creek/Wilderness trails, Island in the Sky Trail. Features some easy and moderate sections. A shorter version, approximately 2 miles, is around the lake with an optional spur.  Call 304-343-3779 for information.
