Man arrested in robberies of two video lottery parlors

BECKLEY, W.Va. - A man has been arrested in the robberies of two different video lottery businesses in Raleigh County.

Jeffery Steele, 28, of Daniels, was arrested at his house on Wednesday after allegedly robbing Alice's in Beaver on April 12 and Pops in Daniels on April 22. Steele admitted to both crimes at the Raleigh County Sheriff's Office, according to a news release.

Raleigh County sheriff's deputies followed a lead from the store clerk at Pops when Steele robbed it early Wednesday morning, the release states.

Steele is charged with two counts of first-degree robbery. He was being held Thursday at Southern Regional Hail on a $250,000 bond.
