Two wounded after McDowell knife fight

WELCH, W.Va. - Two men from McDowell County were wounded Wednesday evening after an apparent knife fight in the Oozley Hollow area.

Jeffery Price, 46, of Paynesville and Denfert Dewayne Blankenship, 25, of Bradshaw, allegedly got into an argument which led to both men stabbing each other, according to a State Police news release.

Price had numerous stab wounds to his torso and head and Blankenship had several cuts on his hands, according to the release.

Price was flown to Charleston Area Medial Center and Blankenship was taken to Welch Community Hospital and was released.

No criminal charges have been filed yet.
