BECKLEY - A Greenbrier County man was sentenced in federal court in Beckley on Monday to 15 years in prison for producing child pornography, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced.

Charles Edward Wiseman Jr., 35, of Rupert, pleaded guilty to the charge in August 2008, a news release states.

A Nicholas County sheriff's deputy found child pornography in Wiseman's possession during a traffic stop in April 2007, according to the release. Wiseman later admitted that he had several Polaroid pictures of underage boys engaged in sexual acts, pictures that he had taken.

U.S. District Judge Thomas E. Johnston imposed the sentence.

In a separate case, an Alderson man was sentenced to three years in prison for dealing oxycodone, according to the release.

Robert Edgar Hayworth, 55, pleaded guilty in November, when he admitted that he sold the drug to an undercover informant working with the Greenbrier County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force. Hayworth also admitted that he had sold more than 100 oxycodone pills over a year, the release states.

Johnston sentenced Hayworth to 36 months in prison.

Also on Monday, authorities arrested five men in Parkersburg on charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, the release states. Isaiah Thomas of Zanesville, Ohio; David Paul and Jeremy Green, both of Parkersburg; and Joseph Beech and George Sadie, both of Smithville, were arrested.
