Three arrested in Mason County on heroin charges

POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. -- Three people have been arrested in Mason County on heroin charges.

Jessica Ann Henderson, 25 of Milton; Jonathan Wayne Handshaw, 30, of Milton; and Christopher Ryan Perdue, 29, of East Wellston, Ohio, were arrested Monday around 7:30 p.m. near Salt Fork Road in Point Pleasant and charged with felony possession with intent to deliver heroin.

Sheriff's deputies searched a 1992 Chevy Cavalier and seized 68 individually wrapped balls of heroin and a loaded .380 caliber handgun.

The heroin balls were packaged the way drug dealers would sell them on the street, according to a news release by Sheriff Scott Simms.

"This investigation continues and there may be more arrests in the near future," Simms said in the news release. "The Mason County Sheriff's Department continues an aggressive no tolerance anti-drug program."

"The total commitment of the deputies to investigate and arrest drug dealers has resulted in numerous drug arrests and a reputation known to drug dealers in several states," Simms said.

I applaud the effort to get these drugs off of the street. This has to hurt the real drug supplier in the pocket book. Now if these 3 would give up their supplier and an arrest could be made that would go a long way. The problem is the supplier will just find someone else to do the dirty work.

I think these 3 could use some hard time on the chain gang.

Its funny, some others who post here want these drugs legalized, evidently so they and their kids can get them easily.
