The Mid-Atlantic Technology, Research & Innovation Center (MATRIC) in South Charleston will soon by adding 150 new high-tech jobs, Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., announced today.
SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Mid-Atlantic Technology, Research and Innovation Center in South Charleston will soon be adding 150 new high-tech jobs, Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va. announced today.
"The best way to improve our economy here at home is to provide job security, promote stability and drive economic development. This announcement is a perfect example of something that's being done right in these trying times," Rockefeller said in the news release.
MATRIC in South Charleston will partner with Butler International Inc. to form the International Design Center, which will create 150 new engineering and research and development jobs.
Additional information about the new jobs will be available during MATRIC's 2008 annual reception at the Clay Center from 5:30 to 7:30 o'clock tonight.
Rockefeller, along with Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va. and West Virginia Secretary of Commerce Kelly Goes, are scheduled to appear.
