1. Follow the rules of the road. obey traffic laws.
2. Ride in a predictable manner. no weaving in and out of traffic.
3. WEAR A HELMET. 65% of bike related injuries are head injuries and 85% of those could be avoided with a helmet.
I think that cyclist and drivers nee to be educated on safety related to cyclists on the road (yes, we do have the RIGHT to be there according to the WV vehicular code) and the law enforcement SHOULD stop errant cyclists. A few poor bike riding fools make it hard on us cyclists to enjoy our choice of transportation and recreation.
Just like the signs on the road say, "Share the road"
P.S. Dont wear haedphones while riding a bike. You cant hear what you need to hear (traffic) to stay safe.
