Although we're finished running our daily stories on the individual camps in our 2008 Send-A-Child-To-Camp program, the fund drive isn't over - and we're still a long way from being able to cover all the scholarships that have been requested.

If these children don't have sponsorships, they can't afford to attend.
When comparing this year to last, we found the biggest decline has been in the number of donations between $5 and $50.
The loss of those donors has had a serious impact, leaving us more than $10,000 below last year. And that's after a generous donation this week from THF Realty.
THF, the developer behind The Shops at Trace Fork, Dudley Farms Plaza, Nitro Marketplace and a future development in South Charleston, donated $15,000 to the camp fund. Their longtime corporate sponsorship makes it possible for hundreds of children to attend camp every summer.
One hundred percent of every donation received goes toward funding camp sponsorships.
The Gazette covers any costs associated with operating the fund. Donations can be sent to The Gazette Charities Send-A-Child-To-Camp Fund, 1001 Virginia Street East, Charleston, WV 25301.
