Martha likes Creekside
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Martha Stewart Weddings magazine recently selected Creekside Resort and Spa in Greenville, Monroe County, as its choice for where to wed in West Virginia.
The special destination wedding issue offered a state-by-state guide called "50 Ways to Wed," featuring the best places to tie the knot.
Creekside specializes in destination wedding weekends at its 200-acre resort. The resort can lodge 45 guests and can host a wedding for up to 100 people. Creekside hosts only one wedding per weekend.
The article on Creekside also mentioned the Monroe County Historical Society Museum and Civil War sites. Local potter Marcia Springston of Wake Robin Gallery and baker Hall Hitzig, the "Crazy Baker," were also mentioned as offering products that could add a special local flavor to a West Virginia wedding at Creekside.
