Elkins Christmas show
ELKINS, W.Va. -- American Mountain Theater premieres its new Christmas Spectacular on Nov. 27, the first of 18 performances, including four Sunday matinees, scheduled through the weekend before Christmas.
The Branson-style show will be performed in the 527-seat facility in the Elkins Railyard and will feature the same cast of singers, comedians and musicians that have entertained audiences throughout the regular season.
The shows have proven so popular in each of the previous seasons that additional performances have been added every year to accommodate demand for seats. This year the cast will put on 18 shows, up from 15 Christmas performances in 2008.
Evening performances are scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 27 and 28, plus a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Nov. 29. In December, evening performances are staged over three weeks, Wednesday through Saturday, beginning Dec. 2 and ending Dec. 19. Sunday matinees are scheduled at 2 p.m. Dec. 6, 13 and 20.
