CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Although Webster County native Josh Stewart appeared in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" (as one of the tugboat workers), his resume largely consists of TV performances -- including starring roles in FX's "Dirt" and the final season of NBC's "Third Watch." Friday he'll be back on the big screen, with a starring role in the horror film "The Collector," which screens locally at Park Place, Teays Valley and Nitro theaters.

The movie comes from the writers of the "Saw" movies from IV on, so that tells you what kind of gore to expect. A reviewer from the Web site Bloody Disgusting calls it " raw, gritty and uncompromising " and warns, "You can expect to cringe and cover your eyes quite a few times." If you can stomach the film to the end, one commenter on the Internet Movie Database advises that you stay through the credits.

In the movie, Stewart is an ex-con who plans to rob his rich employer's home to get money to keep his ex-wife from leaving town with their daughter. Unfortunately, when he arrives at the house, he finds that a masked killer is already there and has rigged it with a series of deadly traps.
