Jerry Seinfeld tickets

Murder-mystery dinner

Murder and Merriment will perform "Death on Black Friday" at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Greenhouse of Teays Valley, 3554 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane. The interactive murder-mystery takes place in a TV newsroom in the midst of a snowstorm.

Discover the Dinosaurs

The traveling, hands-on Discover the Dinosaurs exhibit comes to the Charleston Civic Center from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. It features more than 40 animatronic and museum-quality dinosaur replicas, plus other dinosaur-themed activities like a scavenger hunt, maze, coloring area and dino dig.

Admission is $17 for ages 13-64, $15 for ages 65 and up, $12 for ages 2-12 and free for age 1 and under; this includes the exhibit, Dino Dig, Dino Den, Dino Theater, coloring area, mural, Jurassic Maze and scavenger hunt. Exhibit-plus admission for ages 2-12, which also includes unlimited dinosaur rides, mini golf and inflatables, is $20. Gem and fossil mining and face painting are available for an additional fee.

Opera at the movies

The Metropolitan Opera's production of Puccini's "Tosca" screens live at 12:55 p.m. Saturday at Regal Nitro Stadium 12. Runtime is about three hours and 35 minutes. There's an encore showing at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

MU's International Festival

Marshall University's 50th annual International Festival runs 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Huntington's Big Sandy Superstore Arena. The free event features international food tasting, music and dance, plus displays from more than 60 countries and cultures.

Chamber music concert

The Charleston Chamber Music Society presents a concert by the janus trio at 7 p.m. Saturday at Christ Church United Methodist, 1221 Quarrier St. The Brooklyn-based all-female group, comprised of a harpist, flutist and viola player, will perform works by Maurice Ravel, Jason Treuting, Martin Matalon, Kaija Saariaho and Claude Debussy.

Before the trio, South Charleston High School junior Jacob Bumbarner, a pianist, will perform Brahms Rhapsody in G minor, Op. 79, No. 2. Tickets, available at the door, are $20. Students are admitted free, with a paying adult, or for $5.

Rock 'n' roll roadshow

The Coney Island Rock 'n' Roll Roadshow stops at The Empty Glass, 410 Elizabeth St., at 9 p.m. Saturday. It features the Cut Throat Freak Show, burlesque babe Scarlett Storm, from Philadelphia's Rigor Mortis Revue, and music by The Urban Pioneers, the Jesse Ray Carter Trio and JJ Damage & the Bandits, as well as DJ E-Bomb.

The Heart of Appalachia Roller Derby team also will be there. People with "a strange talent or party trick" who want to be in the show can email a description of their act to EricBruce@ultraradio.com for the possibility of a few minutes of stage time.

'Godspell' auditions

The Charleston Light Opera Guild will hold auditions for its production of "Godspell" at its theater, 411 Tennessee Ave., at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Actors should prepare a musical selection and dress for movement and improv.

Parts are available for five men and five women, age 16 to 30s. Actors must stand out as individuals, as well as perform within the ensemble. They should be able to move well and improvise.

Performance dates are Feb. 7-9 and 14-16. Rehearsals will not be held the week of Thanksgiving or Dec. 23-Jan. 1.
