The Amazing Kreskin in Huntington Friday

There's $50,000 in it for you if can prove The Amazing Kreskin employs paid secret assistants or confederates in any phase of his show to help him perform his mentalist "effects." It's a standing offer and will be in force when Kreskin performs at 8 p.m. Friday in the ballroom of Huntington's Big Sandy Superstore Arena.

Just to up the ante, Kreskin has also asked that his fee for the performance be hidden somewhere in the room. If he can't find it with the power of his mind, well, he'll just have to mentally pickpocket someone's ATM card and number in order to get home.

Kreskin's bio says that his powers of intuition and ability to find hidden objects first surfaced playing the childhood game of "Hot and Cold" ("Am I getting hotter or colder?"). He has parlayed his abilities into his own TV series, a board game, 16 books, a theme song arranged by the renowned Skitch Henderson and a 2008 movie co-starring John Malkovich called "The Great Buck Howard," fashioned after his life.

The real-world applications of his skills have been shared as a training consultant to law enforcement and security personnel in developing their own powers of observation and intuitive skills. Tickets the show are $20 and $35 through ticketmaster.com and by phone at 800-745-3000.
